1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use the Looop mobile application (the “App”) and related technology, software, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

The App is operated by Raunaq Seth, operating under the name Looop (“we”, “our”, or “us”). Under this Policy, we act as the data controller for personal information processed through the App, meaning we determine how and why personal information is collected and processed.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Please also read our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in order to operate the Services, improve the App, and provide users with sports highlight and social features.

2.1 Information You Provide

Account Information

We collect account information when you create or manage an account on the App. This may include your name or username, email address, authentication identifiers, and profile image if you choose to upload one. We use this information to create and manage your account, authenticate access to the App, and allow you to interact with other users.

Profile Information

You may choose to provide additional information for your user profile, such as a profile image or other identifying details. Profile information helps other users recognize you within the App and supports social features such as friend connections.

Content Related to Highlights and Recordings

The App allows users to interact with sports recordings and highlight clips generated during matches played at participating sports venues. We process information related to highlight claims, saved highlights, and moderation requests submitted by users. This information is used to enable highlight viewing, allow users to identify themselves in recordings, and support moderation and dispute resolution processes.

Identity Verification Information

In certain situations, users may submit images or information to verify their identity in connection with highlight claims or moderation requests. This information is used solely for moderation review and to determine access to certain content.

2.2 Information From Using the Services

Recordings at Partner Sports Venues

Match recordings available in the App are generated by recording systems installed at participating sports venues. These systems capture matches played at those venues and may include multiple participants present during a match. Users do not upload match recordings directly. Instead, recordings are generated automatically by venue systems and made available in the App for viewing and highlight generation.

Individuals participating in matches at partner sports venues may appear in recordings made available through the App. These individuals may include both registered users of the App and participants who do not have an account with the App.

Recordings may include multiple participants present during a match. Individuals who appear in recordings and wish to review or request moderation of content associated with them may use the App’s moderation or support tools where applicable.

Highlight clips are generated from recordings captured at participating sports venues. Users may save highlights to their profile or share them within or outside the App, subject to the visibility settings chosen by the user and the platform’s Terms of Service.

Recording systems used by the Services are installed at participating sports venues with the cooperation and authorization of the venue operators. These venues are privately operated sports facilities where match recording may be used for purposes such as performance review, highlight generation, and player experience features.

Participating venues provide notice to players and visitors that matches may be recorded when using facilities equipped with the Looop recording system.

Social Interaction Information

The App includes social features that allow users to view profiles, connect with other users, and interact through friend relationships. We process information related to friend connections, blocked accounts, and reports submitted about other users so that we can provide social features and maintain a safe and respectful environment within the App.

Content Visibility Preferences

Users may control the visibility of certain content within the App. Highlights saved by a user may be designated as public or private. Public highlights may be visible to other users of the App, while private highlights remain accessible only to the user who saved them, depending on the selected privacy settings.

Location Information

We may collect location information when you use the App if you grant permission through your device settings. Location information helps us show nearby sports venues, calculate distances to sports grounds, and improve venue discovery features. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings, although some features may not function as intended without it.

Usage Information

We collect technical and usage information when you interact with the App, such as device type and operating system, application version, and interactions with certain features or screens within the App (for example, viewing a sports venue page or interacting with venue-related content). This information helps us understand how the Services are used and allows us to improve reliability, performance, and functionality. In some cases, aggregated usage metrics may be used to generate statistics displayed within the App, such as the number of active players associated with a sports venue.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

Authentication Providers

We use third-party authentication services to manage account sign-in and security. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication, which processes login credentials and authentication identifiers in accordance with its own privacy policies.

Cloud Infrastructure Providers

We use third-party cloud services to operate core features of the App, including data storage, authentication systems, and database services. The primary provider used for these services is Firebase (Google LLC). These providers process data on our behalf and are required to protect personal information in accordance with applicable privacy standards and our agreements with them.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process personal information in order to operate and improve the Services. This includes creating and managing user accounts; displaying match recordings and highlight clips; allowing users to save or claim highlights; managing social features such as friend connections and blocked users; supporting moderation and dispute resolution processes; improving app performance, reliability, and user experience; detecting misuse or violations of our Terms of Service; and complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

Information Visible to Other Users

Depending on your privacy settings, your username, basic profile information, and highlight clips that you choose to make public may be visible to other users of the App.

Service Providers

We share limited personal information with service providers that support the operation of the App, such as authentication providers, cloud infrastructure and storage providers, and (where used) analytics and error-reporting tools. These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are required to handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy standards.

Legal Requirements and Safety

We may disclose personal information if required by law or if we believe such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or lawful requests from authorities; enforce our Terms of Service; or protect the safety, rights, or property of users, the public, or Looop.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights with respect to your personal information, including the right to access personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your personal information; restrict certain types of processing; or object to certain processing activities, where permitted by law.

Many of these controls can be exercised through settings within the App. You may also request assistance by contacting us using the details in the “Contact Us” section below. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. When an account is deleted, authentication access is revoked and personal profile data is removed, although certain information may be temporarily retained for moderation, security, or legal compliance purposes.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that personal data from a child under 13 has been collected without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

If highlights or recordings are reported as featuring minors in a way that raises privacy or safety concerns, users may submit a report through the App’s moderation tools or contact us directly. Such reports are prioritized for review, and content may be removed where appropriate in accordance with our moderation policies and legal obligations.

7. How We Protect Information

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These safeguards may include encrypted network communication, secure authentication systems, and controlled access to cloud infrastructure and stored content. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention of Information

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill legal obligations. In general, information associated with user accounts is retained while the account remains active; highlight and recording information is retained while needed to operate the Services or until you delete it or delete your account; and certain information may be retained for a period after account deletion for moderation, security, or legal compliance purposes.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the updated Policy will be posted within the App or on our website along with the updated effective date. Where required by law, we will notify you of material changes. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
